Few amongst the objectives of There is Help includes;
Problem statement:
Eradicating poverty amongst the young Muslims and Muslim women‘s of Sange through renovations and skills training. Sange is a city in Uvira territory, located in South Kivu province at the eastern border of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The city has a total population of 85, 279 people (10,000 are Muslim) according to 2024 census data. Though it is a region with significant reserves of natural resources, the majority of its inhabitants live in poverty and do not have stable employment. This is due to the fact that the area is a strategic military location, civilians in North and South Kivu suffer frequent attacks by armed groups and government forces. The area has no adequate health facilities, education services and recreation centers. Thousands of children are undernourished and youths living in the area are without access to schooling and most adults have no necessary skills to create self-employment in order to make a living.
The territory being in political, economic and socially poor condition, most adults and young Muslims vulnerable decide to engage in unlawful activities such as joining militia groups, illegal exploitation of public goods for example, illegal extraction of natural resources like cassiterite, coltan and copper, etc. puts them on high risk of death. Most young Muslims engage in drugs and substance abuse, armed robbery, sex trade and many other horrible activities that put their lives at risk due to lack of professional skills that are essential to make a living. The things happening day to day here have made the area itself unsafe for everyone especially women’s and children’s and signals no hope for the coming Muslim generation.
Problem Analysis:
Studying on the ongoing situation that is affecting Muslim Vulnerable in Sange, it calls for availability of various schemes to nurture the habitant in a special way for self-reliance to reduce the likeliness of the current situation to re-occur. Lack of diverse skills is putting limitation to the development of Sange. Most of the habitants of Sange have directed their mind only to the exploitation of the natural resources that are found in this area, and anybody can do anything just to get even little of the amount in order to sell and get some money to feed their family. However it is never easy because the government militaries are right there to secure the resources from rebels, and shoots on anybody illegal extractors who is found in the premises. To interpret this, it means that there is high rate of deaths for young men and adults as they struggle every day through unlawful ways to make a living since there are no availability of legal jobs.
In addition to that, most of the areas in Uvira being rich in natural resources such as precious stones, it attracts more insecurity and habitants are not much free to tilled land for crop-farming simply because; 1. They may be suspected of digging some precious stones in their farms, and 2. They fear of being attacked by rebels at the farms any time. So, as a result; all of these situations makes the lives of these habitants very difficult, and furthermore expose them to more dangers. Therefore, there is a need to intervene on the lives of these people by aiding that can be a pivot of change in the lives of these poor, needy and new Muslims ( vulnerable) for potential development and entrepreneurship.
Solution to the Problem:
To preserve lives of people , especially poor youths and young ones, stabiliser young people’s social-welfare and attain the ability to achieve sustainable economic standard for the Muslims of Sange, there is a need to establish some reformation centres in the area that can act as pivots for change. These centers will help to empower youths and Women’s with some entrepreneurship skills that may act as tools to mitigate the risks that many young people living in the area are exposed to due to the lack of innovative knowledge and skills for self-sustainability. Our training provides to Muslim Vulnerable youth and Muslim Women‘s with knowledge of their rights and the training to become decision makers at home and in their communities.
Feasibility Analysis:
The presence of the reformation center will be a relief from danger to the community of the Muslims who are living in Sange city, and a sustainable mechanism for generations as it will be producing thousands of skilled personnel. Initially, TH’s vocation training center will be enrolling new students twice per year. The capacity of each classroom is estimated to accommodate around 30 students each. Students will be divided into two shifts, the morning and afternoon shifts. Each shift will be having 90 students. The period of training for every field- in a classroom will be six months program. This means that, we estimate to produce 360 skilled to young and women’s per annum. So, after the completion of the program, the student will graduate and get a certificate of attendance, and starter kits to enable position themselves well out there.
As the actual students are remaining with one month to complete their programs, enrollment of the new students will be taking place so that as soon as the new intake starts learning as soon as the previous students leave to avoid some delay.
Before graduation, each student will have to do internship in different companies or organization in order to develop confidence, and experience. This will enable graduates to expand their circles, learn more things and connect with other people. As young people acquire necessary knowledge and skills from TH’s, they will be able to create self-employments, take responsibility, and become independent. As result, their lives will be less at risk.
Step forward:
To bring a tangible change in this affected area, There is Help (TH’s) incorporated has already planted a reformation center project in the affected area, precisely in Sange, the town of Uvira territory in Congo DR. it has started constructing some vocation training centers blocks on the ground. This project intends to empower Muslim youths, women’s who for a long time have lost the direction on how to build better life due to political, social and economic instability that the country has been going through for many years. So, TH’s will be providing some knowledge and job skills to young people with the objective to enable them to develop entrepreneurship skills and stand on their own. The skills that will be offered are as follows;
Carpentry, construction, plumbing, and tailoring. Each field of concentration will run for six months and then the student will be certified.

Support Needed
Driven by the objectives that are mentioned above and principled in putting words into actions, THs already started the construction of enormous reformation centre shown in the pictures above, with little supports from the There is Help organisation CEO and the Director of Alif Australis Pty Ltd, and some individuals. However, the funds were not able to fully complete the construction project up to the end. So, there is a need for further support in terms of money to purchase some materials in order to finish the construction of these two block, classrooms block and administration offices block to enable the actual skills trainings commence as soon as possible. The amount of cash that we are requesting to have the whole center ready and begin using it is US$ 31, 900. We intend to have this centre ready for use by later July, 2026 Inshallah.
